Fast, Easy, Valentine decor

Use leftover supplies to make a fast and easy Valentines Day decoration.

All you need is some paper, some letter stickers, and a frame.  If you don't have letter stickers you can always just choose a font on your computer, print and cut out.
As you can see I used a heart for my O.

Just assemble and put in a frame! That fast that easy!
Have a great weekend!

Mix it up!

Did you know that MOST of us are drawn to the same colors within our home.
If you take a look in some different rooms in your home you should notice some similar colors, or at least colors that compliment each other.

So, that leads me to the MIX IT UP part.  If you are tired of a room in your home move some furniture around.  If you have an entire suit in your den- the sofa, love seat, and matching chair, move one of the pieces and change it out with another piece from another room.

One of my favorite ideas is to look outside!  Maybe you have some outdoor furniture like a whicker chair that would bring texture into a room.  Or, maybe you have a small side table that has a tile top it can also add texture!

So, give it a try and see what happens!  You never know until you try, and it can always be put back!

Please share this on Facebook if you find this post of interest!

I can be contacted if you have any questions here.

Family weekly calendar

This project was very easy!  So easy, I will just explain.  I purchased seven frames, one for each day of the week.  Then all I did was insert paper that coordinated with my folders.  I added the day of the week with stickers and tada!  I attached them to the refrigerator with industrial velcro.  You can write on these with dry eraser markers because the outside surface is glass.

Hope you enjoy!  If you have any questions please be sure to email.

Inexpensive storage

photo via
These inexpensive cubes you can find at any home improvement or mass merchant store, can be decorative, yet very functional.  In this photo the drawers allow for hidden storage, but you can still make it interesting by adding art pieces.

These become very useful in the kitchen by allowing storage for plates, cups, and small appliances, but by adding a few candles, vase, and fruit bowl, it also becomes a decorative addition.

These cubes are perfect in a family room, and again the boxes would allow you to store items that are essential, but not necessarily something to look at.  The lamp and photos really make it look a lot more expensive.

Hope this gave you an idea to try!  See you Friday with an easy how to!!

Info Central

Today I will explain how to make the folders!

These are the supplies, but I will say in the end I added packing tape.

Cover part of the front of a plain manilla folder and add a little to the inside back.  You will only need to cover the whole front of the last folder the rest will be hidden under each other.

Continue covering as said until the last one where you will cover the whole front.

You will then need to cut strips that you will glue/tape to the sides of the folders so they will stay closed.

Line all the folders up making sure to space equally apart and tape together.

As I mentioned in the beginning I then used packing tape to reinforce the back and tape them all together.

Decide what items you will be placing in the folders and make tabs.  I used school, sports, my husband, receipts, coupons, and a misc.

Use industrial velcro to attach to your refrigerator.  And you have a great looking very effective hub of info!

If you have any questions feel free to email me!

Organizing on the Brain

Happy New Year!  I just can't seem to stop thinking about getting organized!  I thought I would share 3 items you could use to get you started on the path to organizing!

Via HGTV

This just goes to show anything can be used!  These are tuna cans!

My favorite are baskets, because there are so many shapes and sizes.  As shown this is for books/magazines, but I use them for shoes, spices, games, and toys.

This is great!  These look to be the throw away ziploc containers.  I always have too many batteries and not enough space.

On Friday I will start a craft that will continue into next week that will help you organize you calendars, and all the paper work you never know what to do with!
